Cajeput Oil

Fresh leaves and twigs of cajeput tree and paperbark tree are steam distilled to produce cajeput oil. This essential oil can be topically applied after dilution to treat fungal infections and scabies. There are several medicinal uses for this essential oil, for instance as a tonic or treatment of toothache, headache, and cold. It has an effect to relieve pain therefore used in combination with other ingredients in antiseptic lotions. Cajeput oil has a unique flavor; a small amount of this oil can be used for flavoring food and beverages.
